 
The national Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism was founded in 1995. It was the first academic institute of hospitality and tourism in Taiwan and is a leading center in its field. The establishment of the national Kaohsiung University Hospitality and Tourism has a very important historical background. In the late 1995,the social circumstances were undergoing significant chang and the per capita income showed an impressive rise. Therefore the service industry, especially the hospitality and tourism came to the attention of government. Therefore we started to think how to get up a professional school to offer qualified students to the industries to meet their demands. that was why the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism was established.
Based on government education policy and the requirements set forth by the industry we built. With visions and perspectives, a professional faculty that leads to a promising future.
